Capt. Joe Demalderis (known to most as Joe D.) was introduced to fly fishing in 1970. He has been fishing the Delaware since the mid 1970's and has been an Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing Guide for more than twenty years.

Joe has traveled throughout North America fishing for trout, Atlantic salmon and steelhead. In the winter months, Joe hosts fly fishing trips to Patagonia for wild trout, and to Andros, Bahamas for bonefish. As an experienced saltwater fly fisherman, he also spends many days each season in his center console fishing the NJ coast for striped bass, false albacore and blues. A fan of warmwater species too, Joe can frequently be found fly fishing for carp, muskie, northern pike and smallmouth bass, both on his own and with clients.

Joe has appeared in many national fishing magazines like Field & Stream, Trout, American Angler, Guy Harvey Magazine, On the Water, and others. You can also find him quoted in several fly fishing books like, Paul Weamer's Fly Fishing Guide to the Upper Delaware River, Joe Cermele's Total Fly Fishing Manual, Kirk Deeter's Little Red Book of Fly Fishing, Terry and Wendy Gunn's 50 Best Tailwaters to Fly Fish, and others. He has appeared in several episodes of Field & Streams Hook Shots series, and has done several instructional videos for Field & Stream magazine.

In his guide days alone, Joe has logged tens of thousands of hours on the water. A life member of Trout Unlimited, Joe also serves on the Board of Directors of Friends of the Upper Delaware River.

Tim is a native of Muskegon Michigan where he grew up fishing with his father on the famed Lake Michigan brown trout and steelhead rivers.

Tim became hooked on fly fishing when he was in the fourth grade when one of his teacher's husband ran a fly tying program for the class. More years ago than Tim would care to admit, that experience started him on a life of passion in fly fishing.

Tim has been guiding fly fishing since the mid 1990's at the urging of a fly shop owner and good friend of his. His desire to help others succeed and share his passion for fly fishing led to a rewarding career.

For Tim, what started as a seasonal career on the Lake Michigan tributaries for trout, steelhead and salmon, has turned into a full time undertaking since his retirement from the Michigan Dept. of Corrections.

Anita's journey with a fly rod began at age 3 when her father, an avid outdoorsman, sat her on the bank with a tattered Zebco rod.

Anita's deep love for the outdoors was born, and more importantly, a passion to pursue anything that could be caught with a fishing rod.

Anita's extensive fly fishing experience spans over 20 years and she is comfortable in both fresh and saltwater. A former competitive angler, she has fished alongside some of the World's best. In 2017, she earned the title of NJ Fly Fisherman of the year.

Anita is a graduate of Reel Women Guide School, based in Montana. She is proud to be an Orvis Endorsed Guide with Cross Current Guide Service, and in season you can find her navigating her Clackacraft on the Upper Delaware River, chasing some of the toughest brown trout around. In addition to guiding,

Anita is active with Casting for Recovery and has been involved for over 10 years. She is also an avid writer and contributor for magazines such as Dun Magazine and Fly Fisherman.

Dean's passion for fly fishing began at the age of 10 when a small brown trout in the Little Beaverkill took mercy on him and sipped his dry fly after about 100 casts or so.

Throughout his former career in his family's business, Dean would head to the Catskills from his nearby home in Orange County, NY to fly fish every chance he could.

Early on Dean became serious, honing his skills and eventually turned his passion into a career he loves. Even on his days off, you can find Dean on the water fly fishing. When the season on the Delaware river ends for the year, Dean travels to the Florida Keys where you will find him saltwater fishing and assisting in the Orvis Saltwater Fly Fishing School.

Dean's enthusiasm and teaching skills are a big part of what makes him stand out as a professional fly fishing guide.

Luc spent his early years on the banks of the Upper Delaware River in his family's cabin learning how to fly fish and embracing the sport to the level of passion it has become to him.

When Luc went to college he made sure the Catskills were never far away, so he could make frequent visits to practice his passion.

Luc's love for dry fly fishing is accented by his deep appreciation of the subsurface that has led him to become a student and expert on the various nymphing techniques

Luc has a vast knowledge of the river, its history, and the entomology that is very evident with every fly choice he selects.

With nearly two decades of fly fishing experience, Bill is also an all-around sportsman, which can mean a lot when you're spending a day on the water with a guide.

Bill is passionate about teaching others about the lifelong journey that fly fishing gives. Bill has been a resident of northeastern Pennsylvania for his whole life and is a devoted husband and father to his two boys, who he's also busy instilling a lifelong passion for the outdoors.

Bill is well versed in all techniques of fly fishing, and his easygoing personality allows him to easily convey those techniques to others.

Brook was born and raised in Northeastern Pennsylvania where he followed his father's passion for fly fishing and learned to fly-fish and tie flies at a young age. His father introduced him to the Upper Delaware River with annual weeklong camping trips and weekend stayovers fly fishing for trout, and smallmouth bass on conventional gear. Brook's first trout on a fly rod from the Upper Delaware came in 1988 on a stonefly nymph of his own creation. From that point forward, Brook never put down his fly rod.

Brook attended college in central Pennsylvania where he experienced fishing Pennsylvania's excellent limestone streams as well as other freestone and mountain streams. After some years working in central Pennsylvania after college, Brook's career led him to Michigan. This provided him with expanding his knowledge of trout fishing, seasonal migratory fishing, and warm water species fishing.

Throughout his fly-fishing journey, he has fished many different rivers and lakes both nationally and internationally. He's a well-rounded fly angler whose first love is trout fishing but also enjoys mixing it up with different species and fly-fishing styles throughout all four seasons. With over 35 years of fly-fishing experience, staying humble in the sport provides the best route for improvement as fly fishing is a lifelong journey.

Regardless of where Brook has resided, he always returns to his home waters on the Upper Delaware each year.

A client who fishes with Brook can expect a day on the water to focus on fun, education, conservation, and catering to the client's goals. He especially loves how dynamic the Upper Delaware system is and all the various opportunities it provides to beginner and seasoned fly anglers alike.

A native of northeastern Pennsylvania, Kit was raised with a fly rod in his hands, eagerly pursuing brushy stream trout.

Over time, Kit has evolved into a multi-species fly angler, embarking on fishing adventures across the country. Kit has honed the discipline and skill set necessary to guide anglers through their challenges and assist them in achieving success on the river.

Kit's passion for his craft is evident, as a day spent on the water is not merely about fishing but also about the journey itself.
