Danville's Waxed Monocord

Danville Monocord is an older thread that is popular with deer hair tyers, jig makers and saltwater tyers. Famous for strength, the colors aren’t as bright. Waxed Monocord is a flat 3/0 fly tying thread that doesn't build up on your fly tying hook the way thread does. Monocord makes smoother heads. Has been measured at over 115 denier with a breaking strength over 25 oz. 100 yd. spools.
